Aion

Aion is a Chinese automobile manufacturer founded in 2008 by GAC (Guangzhou Automobile Group), positioned as a leader in electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles in Asia. The Aion story fits into GAC's electrification strategy, with an effective commercial launch of the first models in 2018, marking the group's entry into the BEV (100% electric) and PHEV (plug-in hybrid) segment. The Aion range today covers several segments: compact city cars like the Aion S and Aion S Plus, versatile SUVs such as the Aion Y and Aion V, as well as premium models like the Aion LX and Aion Concept, offering ranges varying from 300 to 700 kilometers depending on versions and batteries. With production sites in China (Guangzhou, Chongqing) and growing presence on international markets since 2022, Aion directly rivals BYD, NIO and Li Auto in the premium electric vehicle segment. The Aion technical specification favors high-density LFP batteries, advanced driving assistance systems (L2 and L3), and technological interiors integrating large-format touchscreens and DC fast charging up to 150 kW. Since 2023, the brand has exceeded 1.5 million cumulative vehicles sold and is considering its establishment in Europe, particularly in France and Germany, confirming its ambition to become a major player in the global electric automobile market by 2030.
