Cadillac SRX

The Cadillac SRX is an American luxury SUV launched in 2004, embodying the evolution of the luxury brand toward the high-end utility vehicle segment. Marketed in two major generations (2004-2009 and 2010-2016), this Cadillac SRX model marked Cadillac SRX history by combining the characteristic elegance of the brand with the practicality and versatility sought by demanding urban clientele. The first generation, built on the Sigma platform, offered an angular and aggressive design, while the second generation, introduced in 2010, displayed a more streamlined and contemporary styling approach, with an extended body offering more interior space and better cargo capacity. The Cadillac SRX generations progressively adopted more efficient engines and sophisticated onboard technologies, positioning the SUV as a direct rival to the BMW X5 and Mercedes-Benz GLE, while maintaining a slightly more competitive price. On the international market, the SRX enjoyed particular success in China and Asia, where demand for American premium SUVs remained strong, while in Europe, its presence remained more confidential. Although production ceased in 2016 in North America, the model was subsequently replaced by the XT5 in 2017, marking the end of a decade and a half of continuous SRX market presence. The Cadillac SRX technical specifications testify to robust architecture combining comfort, performance and refinement, characteristics that explain the persistent interest of enthusiasts for used examples available on the classic car market.
