Hotchkiss's history is characterized by diverse production: elegant sedans, refined cabriolets, and robust commercial vehicles, notably rivaling Delage and Talbot in the high-end sedan market. Between 1937 and 1966, the Hotchkiss lineup included iconic models such as the 686 series, the 2050, the Anjou, and the Élysée, covering engine displacements from 2.3 to 3.5 liters with powerful and reliable six-cylinder engines.
