Lancia

Lancia is an Italian automobile manufacturer founded in 1906 by Vincenzo Lancia, which marked European automotive history through its technological excellence and avant-garde design for over a century. Lancia's history is part of the premium and luxury segment, positioned against competitors such as Alfa Romeo and German brands, with major presence in Italy and Europe until its gradual market withdrawal from the 1990s. The Lancia range covered prestigious sedans and family compacts, with emblematic models Aurelia (1950-1958), Fulvia (1963-1976), Stratos (1974-1998), Lancia Thema (1984-1994), and Delta, the latter winning three world rally championships between 1983 and 1992 and becoming one of the manufacturer's most iconic cars. Lancia models distinguished themselves through remarkable technical innovations, notably early adoption of V6 engines, front-wheel drive systems, and anti-corrosion solutions, establishing the manufacturer as a pioneer in automotive development. After its integration into the Fiat group in 1969, Lancia technical specification benefited from synergies within the Italian group, while maintaining its own identity and distinct positioning through the 2000s. Since 2007, the brand remained primarily present in Italy with the Ypsilon model, an urban compact, before a period of relative inactivity and an announcement of strategic renaissance for Lancia in the 2020-2025 years, marking a willingness to return to the European market with a new electrified range strategy.
