Renault, founded in 1899 by Louis Renault in Billancourt in the Paris region, is one of the oldest French automobile manufacturers and a major player in the sector for over a century. Renault's history is marked by technological innovations and iconic models that shaped the European automotive industry, from the Renault 4 launched in 1961 to the Renault Clio that appeared in 1990, passing through the Renault Mégane and Espace which redefined their respective segments.
