Skoda Citigo
The Skoda Citigo is the Czech urban city car launched in 2011, embodying access to intelligent mobility in the micro-city car segment. Fruit of collaboration with Volkswagen and Audi, this model established itself as an economical and practical alternative to competitors such as the Peugeot 108 or Citroën C1, combining the Skoda brand heritage with modular three-door or five-door design. The Skoda Citigo history begins in 2011 with the first generation, a compact car designed for urban trips and tight budgets, offering excellent value for money thanks to its primarily petrol engines and controlled consumption. Between 2011 and 2019, this original version benefited from progressive restylings reinforcing its visual identity and improving soundproofing, while Skoda Citigo generations refined the concept with the arrival of the electric Citigo e iV version from 2019 onwards, marking an ecological turning point. The model's specification sheet is based on a lightweight and robust platform, low-displacement engines (three-cylinder turbocharged or naturally aspirated) and surprisingly thoughtful interior ergonomics for its category, with cabin modularity designed for young drivers and short city trips. Positioned in the A segment of ultra-compact cars, the Citigo has spanned more than a decade of technological evolution, progressively integrating driving aids, modern infotainment systems and improved connectivity, while preserving its original vocation: a practical, reliable and affordable car for contemporary urban mobility.
