Venturi
Venturi is a French sports car manufacturer founded in 1984 in Monaco by Claude Poiraud and Lucien Matté, specializing in high-performance vehicles and limited production. Venturi's history is inscribed in the lineage of independent European manufacturers of the 1980s-1990s, positioned between small artisanal workshops and automotive giants, competing with brands such as Lotus or Caterham in the light sports car segment. The Venturi range primarily covers the Atlantique model (launched in 1992, available in Coupe and Roadster versions) and 400 GT, automobiles characterized by their lightweight architecture, V6 or V8 engines of Chrysler origin developing between 200 and 408 horsepower depending on variants, and performance figures exceeding 260 km/h for the most powerful versions. The Venturi manufacturer also developed special variants and limited editions, notably the Sensua in 1998, consolidating its image among collectors and sports car enthusiasts, with annual production ranging between 80 and 150 units depending on the year. Venturi technical datasheets emphasize controlled weight through the use of composite materials, in-house developed chassis and five or six-speed manual transmissions, positioning the brand as a significant player in the British and continental GT market of the 1990s.
