Zeekr is a Chinese automobile brand founded in 2021 by Geely, one of the largest automobile manufacturers in the Zhejiang group, positioned as a premium sub-brand dedicated to electric vehicles and intelligent technologies. Zeekr's history begins with the launch of the 001 model, a premium electric coupe SUV designed to compete with leaders of the premium segment like Tesla and BYD, before rapidly expanding to other segments with the 007, a compact urban electric SUV launched in 2023. The Zeekr range currently covers the electric sedan and SUV segment, from affordable luxury to confirmed premium, with production based on Geely factories in China and growing distribution in Asia-Pacific. With over 80,000 vehicles sold in 2022 and notable acceleration in 2023, Zeekr has established itself as a key player in the Chinese premium electric vehicle market, complementing the Geely and Volvo offerings.
