Karma Automotive was founded in 2014 in California by former Tesla and Fisker executives, positioning the brand as a Karma manufacturer specialized in high-end electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles. Karma's history truly begins with the launch of its flagship Revero model in 2016, a hybrid-electric sedan combining futuristic design and extended range, followed in 2020 by the Revero GT SUV, thus expanding the Karma range toward the ecological luxury segment. The manufacturer, based in Irvine and later reorganized around its Chinese subsidiary Hedin Automotive in 2019, offers Karma models characterized by innovative mechanical architecture: main electric motor combined with a gasoline generator allowing range exceeding 600 kilometers without recharging. With initial production limited to a few thousand annual units, Karma positions itself as a niche player against established competitors like Porsche (Taycan) and BMW (i7), targeting a demanding clientele seeking electric performance and automotive prestige.
